Demonstration page — the tasting notes and serving advice are drafts written to show the layout. To be reviewed and corrected by the estate before going live.
The estate’s hillside riesling, blended from two clay-limestone plots. This is where the house style becomes clear: nothing added, nothing rounded off, a straight line from the first gram to the last. A riesling for the table, not for show.
Tasting.
- Appearance
- Pale yellow with green reflections, very clear.
- Nose
- Lemon, vineyard peach, flint. The fruit stays discreet, the mineral leads.
- Palate
- A cutting attack, ripe acidity holding the whole palate. Long saline finish on chalk.
Food pairings.
- Grilled fish, line-caught sea bass
- Shellfish, mussels, whelks
- Seafood choucroute
- Sushi and sashimi
The sommelier’s note.
- Temperature
- 10–12 °C
- Decanting
- Not needed
- Glass
- A slender white wine glass
Don’t serve it too cold: at 8 °C you lose the salinity, which is precisely the point of the wine.
